“ We filed several complaints before the European Commission on behalf of a national association of food supplement manufacturers in the face of continued refusals to register botanical extracts as food supplements and other restrictive administrative measures. As a result thereof, the EC brought Spain before the European Court of Justice and addressed comfort letters to the companies involved stating Spain’s failure to comply with EU law and their right to obtain redress. ”
